Gita Daily ("the App", "we", "us") is a devotional app offering the daily verse, and all 18 chapters and 700 verses of the Bhagavad Gita to read three ways — the original Sanskrit, Edwin Arnold's The Song Celestial, and a plain-English summary — along with shlokas and deities. We designed the App to collect as little information as possible. This policy explains what is and isn't collected when you use it.
Verses, chapters, the reading text, shlokas, deities, and audio links are delivered from our content server. Browsing and reading this content does not require or transmit any personal information about you.
To make the App feel personal, we store a few things only on your device — they are never sent to us or anyone else:
Removing the App from your device deletes this information. It is not backed up to us.
We use Render to host the server that delivers the App's reading content. These requests carry no personal information about you.
The App is free to use. In the future we may offer an optional way to support the App through one-time or recurring contributions. If and when we do, those payments will be handled by Apple and/or a third-party payment processor — we will never receive or store your full card details — and this policy will be updated to describe it before the feature launches.
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
All communication between the App and our server uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Because we don't maintain accounts or a database of personal information, there is no stored personal profile to be exposed.
We may update this policy as the App evolves (for example, when optional support payments are introduced). Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
